Dust with a dry, soft cloth, and a dry soft brush for the folds and the face. For a mark, a barely damp cloth and nothing else — solvents, scouring creams and household sprays lift hand-painted detail and it cannot be repainted to match. Keep it out of long direct sunlight, which fades the colours over the years. Made for indoors. If you want this figure for a garden or a grotto, ask us — pieces meant to stand outside are finished differently.

About this piece
Christ the King, crowned and vested, the Sacred Heart on his breast and the sceptre in his hand, in hand-painted resin at 56 cm. A single size, and a good one for a shelf, a study or a small oratory where a full-height figure would be too much.
Pius XI instituted the feast of Christ the King in 1925, in the encyclical Quas Primas, writing into the calendar a claim the Church had always made and the century was busy denying. It falls on the last Sunday of the liturgical year, immediately before Advent begins again.
