Our Lord

The Sacred Heart, the Divine Mercy, Christ the King and the Good Shepherd — in hand-carved marble and hand-painted resin.

About Our Lord

Four images of Christ are gathered here: the Sacred Heart enthroned in the kitchen, the Divine Mercy with its two rays, Christ the King on the last Sunday of the year, and the Good Shepherd carrying the lost sheep home.

The painted resin figures belong in the house — a family altar, a hall table, a bedroom. The marble ones are carved for a sanctuary, a churchyard or a garden. Each statue page gives its measurements, taken from the piece itself.

Questions

What is the difference between the Sacred Heart and the Divine Mercy?
The Sacred Heart comes from St Margaret Mary in seventeenth-century France and shows Christ’s heart crowned with thorns; the Divine Mercy comes from St Faustina in 1930s Poland and shows two rays, pale and red, falling from his heart. Our guides on the Sacred Heart and the Divine Mercy explain each.
Which statue of Jesus suits a new home?
The Sacred Heart is the traditional one: families enthrone it when they move in. See house blessing gifts.
Can any of these go in a garden?
The marble ones are suitable for outdoors. The painted resin figures are made for indoors.
