Dust with a dry, soft cloth, and a dry soft brush for the folds and the face. For a mark, a barely damp cloth and nothing else — solvents, scouring creams and household sprays lift hand-painted detail and it cannot be repainted to match. Keep it out of long direct sunlight, which fades the colours over the years. Made for indoors. If you want this figure for a garden or a grotto, ask us — pieces meant to stand outside are finished differently.

About this piece
Jesus, Mary and Joseph as one group in hand-painted resin — Our Lady in her blue mantle, St Joseph in brown, the Child between them. 78 cm tall and 30 cm across, so it holds a hall table, a sideboard or a family altar on its own.
Almost nothing is recorded of the years at Nazareth, which is much of the point — a carpenter, his wife and the child, keeping an ordinary household. The feast of the Holy Family is kept on the Sunday after Christmas, and the group is the one most often given for a wedding or a new house.
