Dust with a dry, soft cloth. For a mark, wipe with a barely damp cloth and dry it straight away — marble is porous, and standing water leaves a ring. Never use bleach, vinegar, lemon or a cream cleaner. Acids etch the polish, and an etched surface cannot be put back. Suitable for outdoors, where it will weather slowly to a softer surface.

Delivered to any county in Ireland for €285, or collect it free in Termonbarry, Co. Roscommon once it is paid in full — the meeting place is agreed with Thomas on WhatsApp.

About this piece
St Joseph with the lily and the Child, carved by hand in marble and standing three foot two. Cut for a niche, a side altar, or a sheltered place in a garden.
Joseph appears in the Gospels without a single recorded word — a carpenter of Nazareth who is told things in dreams and each time simply does them. He was declared patron of the universal Church in 1870, and is asked for as the patron of workers, of fathers, and of a happy death.
