Dust with a dry, soft cloth. For a mark, wipe with a barely damp cloth and dry it straight away — marble is porous, and standing water leaves a ring. Never use bleach, vinegar, lemon or a cream cleaner. Acids etch the polish, and an etched surface cannot be put back. Suitable for outdoors, where it will weather slowly to a softer surface.

About this piece
Our Lady of Fatima, crowned and with hands joined, carved by hand in marble at four foot three. A tall figure for a church, a shrine, or a garden with room around it.
Between May and October of 1917 three shepherd children near Fatima in Portugal — Lúcia, Francisco and Jacinta — said they saw Our Lady six times, on the thirteenth of each month. She asked for the rosary and for penance. On 13 October a crowd of many thousands, believers and reporters among them, saw what has been called the miracle of the sun.
