Dust with a dry, soft cloth, and a dry soft brush for the folds and the face. For a mark, a barely damp cloth and nothing else — solvents, scouring creams and household sprays lift hand-painted detail and it cannot be repainted to match. Keep it out of long direct sunlight, which fades the colours over the years. Made for indoors. If you want this figure for a garden or a grotto, ask us — pieces meant to stand outside are finished differently.

About this piece
Our Lady of Perpetual Help rendered as a standing figure, in hand-painted resin at 80 cm — Mother and Child together, after the icon that gives the devotion its name.
The original is a Byzantine-style icon in Rome, in which the Child, alarmed by the angels holding the instruments of the Passion, has turned to his mother and gripped her hand hard enough to loose his own sandal. Entrusted to the Redemptorists by Pius IX in 1866 with the instruction to make her known throughout the world, it became one of the most copied images in the Church.
