County Offaly
Religious statues in Co. Offaly
On the Shannon at Clonmacnoise, St Ciarán founded the monastery that became one of the great schools of early Christian Europe. Offaly also has Durrow, Colmcille’s foundation, and Seir Kieran, by tradition older still.

Four dioceses meet here
Offaly is shared between the Dioceses of Ardagh and Clonmacnois, Meath, Kildare and Leighlin, and Killaloe, with a corner in Ossory — a sign of how central the county is.
Holy places
Clonmacnoise
St Ciarán founded the monastery in the sixth century and died there in 549; his feast is 9 September. The diocesan pattern is held around his feast, with Mass and stations among the ruins and a visit to St Ciarán’s well on the Shannonbridge road. Pope John Paul II stopped at Clonmacnoise during his visit to Ireland in 1979.
Durrow
Near Tullamore, a monastery of St Colmcille, remembered for the Book of Durrow and its high cross.
Seir Kieran
The monastery of St Ciarán of Saighir, the first patron of the Diocese of Ossory, near Birr.
Which statues suit
For a home in Tullamore, Birr or Edenderry, painted resin is usual: the Sacred Heart, Our Lady of Grace or St Thérèse. On bogland farms and open gardens, frost and wind are the risk; marble is the material for outside, and St Francis is a natural statue for a garden.
Statues of the Offaly saints are not stock pieces, but we can discuss a commission for a parish or school.

Questions from Offaly
How much is delivery to Co. Offaly?
Resin statues go by post to any address in Co. Offaly for a flat €15 per order, however many statues are in the parcel. Marble is too heavy for the post, so we deliver it ourselves; the delivery charge for each marble statue is shown on its own page before you order. We deliver marble across the county on a day agreed with you; collection in Termonbarry, Co. Roscommon, is free if that suits you better.
Will a statue survive a midlands frost?
Marble, properly sited on a level base where water cannot pool, copes well. Painted statues are best kept in or under shelter. See caring for outdoor statues.
Can I pay and collect?
Yes. Message us on WhatsApp (+353 85 285 1015) and we will arrange a time in Termonbarry. Marble can be collected once paid in full.

Religious statues in Ireland
Statues of Our Lord, Our Lady and the saints for the home, the parish and the garden — hand-painted resin and hand-carved marble, delivered to every county in Ireland.
Westmeath
Mullingar has the cathedral of the Diocese of Meath, dedicated to Christ the King at the request of Pope Pius XI. At Multyfarnham the Franciscans built a Way of the Cross with life-size figures, and Fore is famous for St Féichín’s seven wonders.
Laois
Laois is a county of early monasteries — Clonenagh, Aghaboe, Timahoe — and of one famous tree into which people hammered coins as they asked St Fintan for help.
Outdoor statues in Irish weather
Ireland is kind to stone in some ways and hard on it in others. Rain is constant, frost comes and goes, and wind off the Atlantic finds anything not fixed down. A little care at the start and once a year does most of the work.
