County Waterford
Religious statues in Co. Waterford
Waterford has the oldest post-Reformation Catholic cathedral in Ireland and, at Ardmore, the well of St Declan, whose pattern is still kept in July.

The Diocese of Waterford and Lismore
The Cathedral of the Most Holy Trinity on Barronstrand Street was designed by John Roberts and built in the 1790s, more than thirty years before Catholic Emancipation. It is the cathedral of the Diocese of Waterford and Lismore, which covers the county and much of south Tipperary.
Holy places
St Declan’s well, Ardmore
St Declan’s feast is 24 July, and the pattern is held around it: pilgrims make the rounds of the well and the ruins above the bay, as they have for generations.
Mount Melleray
The Cistercian abbey in the Knockmealdown foothills near Cappoquin, a place of retreat for many Waterford families.
Which statues suit
A cathedral of the Holy Trinity is not easy to put in a statue, but the Holy Family — a trinity on earth — suits a Waterford home, in painted resin or hand-carved marble. For the coast, from Tramore to Dungarvan, any statue outside meets salt wind; choose marble, and see our outdoor care guide.
Indoors, the Sacred Heart, Our Lady of Lourdes and St Thérèse are good places to begin.

Questions from Waterford
How much is delivery to Co. Waterford?
Resin statues go by post to any address in Co. Waterford for a flat €15 per order, however many statues are in the parcel. Marble is too heavy for the post, so we deliver it ourselves; the delivery charge for each marble statue is shown on its own page before you order. We deliver marble across the county, from the city to the Comeraghs and West Waterford, on a day agreed with you.
Do you have St Declan?
Not in stock. For a parish or a school, a statue of an Irish saint can be carved to order — ask for a price.
How do I keep a marble statue clean by the sea?
Rinse it with fresh water now and then, use a soft brush, and avoid bleach and acids. Our care notes explain more.

Religious statues in Ireland
Statues of Our Lord, Our Lady and the saints for the home, the parish and the garden — hand-painted resin and hand-carved marble, delivered to every county in Ireland.
Cork
Ireland’s largest county has two cathedrals, St Finbarr’s island at Gougane Barra, and roadside grottos to Our Lady in parish after parish — one of them, at Ballinspittle, known far beyond Cork since the summer of 1985.
Wexford
Every year from the Assumption on 15 August to Our Lady’s birthday on 8 September, pilgrims come to Our Lady’s Island in the south of the county. Wexford also has Pugin’s great cathedral at Enniscorthy.
Outdoor statues in Irish weather
Ireland is kind to stone in some ways and hard on it in others. Rain is constant, frost comes and goes, and wind off the Atlantic finds anything not fixed down. A little care at the start and once a year does most of the work.
