Holy places
Tobernalt
A spring at the south-west corner of Lough Gill, dedicated to St Patrick, with a Mass rock beside it from the Penal times when the Mass was said in secret. Mass has been celebrated there every Garland Sunday, at the end of July, since 1921, with a single break in 1922.
Drumcliffe
Under Ben Bulben, the site of a monastery of St Colmcille, with its high cross and the stump of a round tower.
Which statues suit
Many Sligo gardens and farm lanes have a small shrine. For anything outdoors facing the Atlantic weather, choose hand-carved marble; our grotto statues and the grotto guide are a good start.
With a cathedral dedicated to the Immaculate Conception, the Immaculate Heart of Mary and Our Lady of Grace are natural choices for a Sligo home; the Sacred Heart for the kitchen.

Questions from Sligo
How much is delivery to Co. Sligo?
Resin statues go by post to any address in Co. Sligo for a flat €15 per order, however many statues are in the parcel. Marble is too heavy for the post, so we deliver it ourselves; the delivery charge for each marble statue is shown on its own page before you order. We deliver marble across the county, from Enniscrone to the Leitrim border, on a day agreed with you.
Is collection possible?
Yes — free in Termonbarry, Co. Roscommon, arranged by WhatsApp on +353 85 285 1015. For south Sligo it can be a practical option, especially for a heavy marble piece.
What size statue for a garden shrine?
Measure the niche or the space, and think about how far away it will be seen from. Our size guide helps.
