County Roscommon
Religious statues in Co. Roscommon
Roscommon is where we are. Any statue, resin or marble, can be collected free in Termonbarry, on the Shannon — and Roscommon has its own holy ground at Ogulla, where St Patrick is said to have baptised the daughters of the High King.

Collecting in Termonbarry
Collection in Termonbarry is free. Message us on WhatsApp (+353 85 285 1015) once you have ordered and we will arrange a time. Marble can be collected once it is paid in full; bring someone to help lift a big piece, and a blanket for the car.
If you would rather not travel, resin goes by post anywhere in the county for €15 per order, and we deliver marble ourselves.
Elphin and the county’s dioceses
Most of Roscommon belongs to the Diocese of Elphin, whose cathedral — the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception — is in Sligo town. Parts of the county, around Ballaghaderreen and in the south, belong to neighbouring dioceses.
Holy places
Ogulla holy well, near Tulsk
Close to Rathcroghan, the old royal seat of Connacht. Tradition holds that St Patrick baptised Eithne and Fidelma, daughters of King Laoghaire, at a well here, and people still leave offerings at the statue of St Patrick by the water.
Boyle Abbey
The great Cistercian abbey on the Boyle river, a daughter house of Mellifont.
Which statues suit
With free collection on the doorstep, Roscommon is the easiest county in which to take home one of our larger marble statues — a Sacred Heart or Our Lady of Lourdes for a grotto, or a Divine Mercy for a parish. Indoors, Our Lady of Knock, with the Shrine just over the Mayo border, and St Thérèse suit a Roscommon home.
See large religious statues if you have a big space to fill.

Choosing a size
The most common reason a statue disappoints is not the statue: it is the size. A few minutes with a tape measure, and one or two rules of thumb, save a lot of trouble.
